Latvian (Common) spruce in a pot

The blue form of the sharp spruce or silver spruce (Picea pungens f.glauca) is fast-growing, it grows up to 15m tall, but four or even more meters wide. Dark green, blue-gray or silver, hard and very sharp needles, strong branches. The color of the silver spruce needles can vary depending on the place of growth and seasonal weather conditions. Spruces have a specific aroma. It is winter-hardy and does not suffer from sunburn. The symmetrical crown is achieved by regularly forming a tree. Spruces are grafted.

It is recommended to keep it in cool rooms. To preserve the appearance of the spruce for a longer time, it should be watered regularly, but not overwatered. If the spruce is kept in warm rooms, it is also recommended to spray it with water regularly. Place the spruce away from radiators and other heat sources, protecting the spruce from drying out. If the room where the spruce stands has a heated floor, this will contribute to the drying out and shedding of the needles.
